A taste of Roman hospitality in Bondi Junction
There’s a little taste of Rome tucked away in Bondi Junction. Run by Shlomi Palensya, a former pastry chef and veteran of Michelin-starred establishments from around the globe including Israel’s Ritz Carlton and Sydney’s Park Hyatt, and his wife Dikla Dinur, the team at Ta Ta Ta Pizza are slinging Roman-style pizza by the slice with help from Doshii, Square and app partners Uber Eats, and DoorDash. Not your traditional round pizza pies, Roman-style pizza is rectangular in shape and topped by a range of gourmet toppings – and they’re quickly proving a popular prospect with pizza fans in Bondi Junction and beyond.
A business built on Pickup & Delivery
In fact, it was their popularity that saw the team at Ta Ta Ta turning towards tech for help in the first place when they found themselves struggling to keep up with demand for their product. “We were not doing well with deliveries,” says co-owner Dikla Dinur. “The whole thing was a challenge. Everything was late. Deliveries were taking too long to get to customers. The dockets were being printed, so that was a whole other thing we had to look at and manage. It wasn’t going into my day summary, I had three or four tablets I had to be looking at. We had to find a solution.”
For Dikla and Shlomi, that solution came in the form of Doshii integrations with their Square point-of-sale system (POS) and their delivery app partners.
Dikla and Shlomi ultimately wound up choosing Doshii for a myriad of reasons including price point, customer service and ease of set-up.
“
The price was right. And Doshii were the nicest and the most communicative. The demo that I had was quick and to the point and everything just worked – plus the customer service was great.

The Doshii – and App Integration – difference
Since integrating with Doshii, Dikla, Shlomi and the team are starting to get on top of their delivery processes and are finding it easy as pie to get their pizza into the hands of hungry customers quickly and efficiently.
It’s definitely made everything smoother.

“It’s definitely made everything smoother,” says Dikla. “Before Doshii integration someone was having to run back and forth to the iPad, printing the docket and taking it to the kitchen. Now orders are sent directly on to the kitchen and that’s it. And also the bookkeeping aspect of it is so much easier,” she adds. “Everything goes through Square with no need to log into another portal, download the information and get it to the bookkeeper. Now all the information is just there in Square and she can easily see all the orders. So it saves the bookkeeper time and it saves the kitchen time.”
These time savings are allowing Dikla, Shlomi and the rest of the team at Ta Ta Ta the ability to get on top of deliveries and to keep their venue operations running smoothly, so they can spend less time managing orders and more time perfecting their business plans and delivery capabilities.
The bottom line: burrata-smooth venue operations
With plans to expand the business further, every bit of savings counts. Thanks to improved venue operations and less time spent on admin, they’ve been able to explore other avenues for getting their product in front of new customers. Dikla and Shlomi have begun taking their pizzas to the Bondi Markets to introduce their unique Roman-style slices to more hungry Sydney-siders with a view to expanding the business as time goes on.
It’s a dream that, with help from Doshii’s burrata-smooth integrations with Square, Uber Eats and DoorDash, has never seemed more achievable for Dikla, Shlomi and the rest of the team at Ta Ta Ta. Because like the potato and Roman sausage combination on Dikla’s favourite in-house pie – it just works.
